Everything Happens For A Reason
I wasn't much of a reader till my fourth grade. I always found reading as hard work and a bit challenging. So most of the time I chose to not acknowledge its benefits.
But when I was in my fourth grade something happened that made me change a lot. So, I had a friend who was a vivid reader(not something that I appreciated at that time). She would read on for hours at an end and I didn't understand what was so great about it. It wasn't much of a problem for me until she started getting full marks for all of our spelling tests and started to bag, mostly, my title of being the teacher's pet.
One day, we got a free period and our English teacher asked us to do something without making much noise. My friends time decided to play 'BINGO'.And I being an apprentice at the 'art ' of BINGO chose not to play it and decided to switch places with my reader friend, who apparently decided to play.
I took up a TINKLE DIGEST and started reading it and I actually found it really interesting(well, who can say no to SUPPANDI).
After some time, when the class had begun to get noisy, our teacher raised our voice to quieten us and became really angry when she had to do the same more than twice. She began to scold us for being such a noisy batch and then she said something, a thing that I will never forget in my entire life.
She asked my class of following my example, of reading silently and some more about how it is a good habit and all. Hearing such praise I couldn't help blushing. I should say that I was the last person on this earth to be awarded the title of being a 'reader' and my friends were looking at me in awe, knowing well about my feelings towards reading anything. That was a comment that had made me so so proud of myself and that which set on my reading ventures.
Even though that event was quite an accident, looking back, I should say that I am grateful that happened. That incident gave me something to look forward to my entire life: reading and a great reason for believing that 'EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON'
This incident and this quote have made me believe in me more, and most of the time helped to console my myself when something really goes wrong.😉

Whenever I read this quote it makes me feel better, if not immediately, gradually and I think this is something that we all should have handy, for both the good and the bad times ahead.
